Here are some of the highlights from part one of our two-part interview…

  • The importance of “putting feet to our philosophy”
  • What is The Process?
  • We’re all part of a big universal process
  • Humans are processes and the earth is a process
  • Processes take place at different levels – including atomic and sub-atomic
  • The Process is infinite in every direction
  • The Process is impermanent and makes change possible
  • The Process is conditioned
  • An intelligence is behind the process driving it all
  • There are certain things that work for human beings and certain things that don’t
  • You can use the same process to limit or free yourself
  • Staying optimistic and open hearted attracts positive things
  • The universe or God will give us anything we want
  • There’s an infinite possibility of choice
  • There’s a risk of being overly positive – sometimes life is difficult
  • Being overly positive is a form of denial
  • There’s always an opportunity for grace and compassion in negative situations
  • The best thing we can do is to empty ourselves and recognise that the spirit within us that does all the good work – we get into difficulty when we believe it’s us
  • Maintaining an independent relationship to spirit is a healthy thing
  • Spirit provides independence in any relationship – including relationships with religions and movements, or jobs
  • If we lose touch with this spirit, we become attached within our relationships and this causes suffering
  • Are we experiencing freedom and happiness? Or does it feel like we’re trapped and suffering?
  • Some people are “unclubbable” – they are too independently minded to be part of a club – this can apply to spiritual movements and religions
  • It’s always the ego who is striving for enlightenment, but the ego will never become enlightened!
  • Enlightenment or Presence is here now in the present moment
  • The ego is sneaky! Like the devil
  • The devil is a form of the adverse ego – it isn’t an entity in itself
  • Our own unresolved issues trip us up and play games with us
  • We have to let go in order to find true safety
  • True safety doesn’t come from things or form
  • Spirit provides a 100% 24×7 service level
  • It makes sense to stay connected to spirit whilst navigating the process
  • The 7 Guidelines for Cultivating Peace & Kindness
    1. Honor the body
    2. Be present, bringing awareness and acceptance into every moment
    3. Act with kindness, considering everyone and everything
    4. Understand the truth, communicating it selectively and skilfully
    5. Do only what needs to be done
    6. Harmoniously obtain and retain only what you need
    7. Apply The Guidelines to your digital device usage
  • The guidelines are a synthesis of buddhist teachings, yoga philosophy, Eckhart Tolle’s teachings and Darren Cockburn’s own experience
  • The guidelines enable you to live in harmony within The Process
Everything arises from being present to what is at a point in time – being mindful
If we take mindfulness and add an openness or faith in what transcends us we can be guided by spirit
